DESCRIPTION

Antidepressants are commonly prescribed to treat depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, and chronic pain syndromes. They work by modulating neurotransmitters like serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine to restore emotional balance and improve mood.

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs): (Citalopram, Escitalopram, Fluoxetine, Paroxetine, Sertraline) – First-line treatments for depression and anxiety, known for their efficacy and favorable safety profile.
